ITINERARY:
DAY 1: CUSCO - OLLANTAYTAMBO - KM.104 MACHUPICCHU Early in the morning we will go by bus 1/12 hrs. to Ollantaytambo, then by train 1/12 hrs. to Km 104 where we begin our hike. From the archeological site of "Chachabamba" (2250 mts) we climb for about 2 ½ hours towards the fascinating archeological site of "Wiñaywayna" (2650 mts) where we will enjoy a pick nick in a unique surrounding. In the afternoon we continue through cloud forest towards the famous Sungate "Intipunku" from where we have our first panoramic view onto marvelous Machupicchu. A short descent brings us to our final destination from where we drive down to the village Aguas Calientes. Optional visit of the natural hot springs and overnight in a hotel. ( L)
DAY 2: MACHUPICCHU -CUSCO After the breakfast in the hotel We go by bus ½ hrs. to visit the Inka ruins of Machupicchu called the Lost City of the Incas, represents the cultural heritage of mankind. It is a stone city constructed by incredibly sophisticated techniques, even in present-day terms. Stone upon stone are fitted together perfectly without cement, with exquisite detail worthy of the world's greatest palaces. After a guided visit to the ruins 2 hrs. you will be free to explore the temples and palaces of this place, in the afternoon at 15:00 you go by bus to Aguas Calientes, your train is departing at 18.45 to Ollantaytambo then go back to Cusco by bus. In order to get the discount it is necessary to send us via
email the scanned copy of your ISIC (International Student Card)
within two days.
Without this copy we will not be able to offer you the student
discount.
IMPORTANT
NOTES
*Reservations need to be done four months prior to arrive to
Cusco.
Nevertheless take note there is a limit of visitors per day so I
suggest you to book the trip as soon as possible to guarantee
your spots.
*Remember to take your passport and your isic card on the inca
trail because without they you are not going to be able to do
the hiking and take only the necessary items for the 2 days
trek, the rest of your luggages you can leave it at your hotel
in Cusco (most of hotels and hostals has an storage where to
keep until your return)
