SANTA TERESA MACHU PICCHU 3 DAYS / 2 NIGHS
This is a special short yet easy trek to Machu Picchu. With beautiful scenery and landscapes, you will visit and enjoy the hot springs of Cocalmayo, and join up with the original Inca Trail from Lucmabamba on the second day hiking the original inca trail from Lucmabamba to Llactapata ruins, the last day visit Machupicchu.
Day 1: Cusco – Santa Maria – Santa Teresa
You will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco that morning at 05:30 and travel 4 hours in a private shuttle to the village of Santa Maria. We will proceed 15 minutes to Quellomayo, which is the starting point for this adventure. You will have fantastic views throughout the day as we are surrounded in vibrant green mountains, a variety of native plants and flowers with indigenous birds fluttering about. After 3 hours on the trail, we reach the Cocalmayo hot springs for lunch and then continue on to Santa Teresa where we will spend the night. (L,D)
Day 2: Santa Teresa – Llactapata – Aguas Calientes
After breakfast, we will continue along the ancient and remote Inca Trail for 3 hours uphill to the Puncuyoc pass (2,700m). Along the way, you will need to pinch yourself as you will witness fantastic views of the majestic valleys and fruit plantations. We arrive at the Llactapata Inca Ruins, which are located right in front of Machu Picchu and you can enjoy the distant view of the citadel at Machu Picchu and its surrounding mountains – Huayna Picchu, Machu Picchu and the Aobamba Canyon. We will travel to the Hydroelectric plant to have lunch, and continue to Aguas Calientes where we will spend our final night. (B,L,D)
Day 3: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco
After breakfast in the hotel, we will travel ½ hour by bus to Machu Picchu for a 2 ½ hour walking tour of the site, visiting the temples, palaces and many other interesting places. You will have time to climb up Huayna Picchu that overlooks the ruins. We will return to Aguas Calientes at about 2pm to take the train back to Cusco. (B)

Discounts:
Children between 8-17 years old pay student price, but they must show a copy of their passport. Children will receive the underage student price if they, at the time of their trip, are at most 17 years old and have had their birthday recently.
University students must have a student card with the following information to receive the discount:
a) Name of the university
b) The student’s full name, identical to the one in their passport.
c) A photo of the student.
d) Student number or code.
e) Expiry date (must be valid for the entire duration of the trip 2022).

Machupicchu Mountain: $75.00 USD The prices of Wayna Picchu and Machu Picchu Mountains can vary based on the exchange rate of the American dollar.
Extra night in Aguas Calientes: the price will depend on the category of hotel that you choose.

CANCELLING POLICY COVID-19
Special terms and conditions: In the event that the COVID 19 pandemic situation continues throughout the world, will give you the option to reschedule your trip or have a credit note for the future or return in coordination with the regulatory institutions of tourist attractions.
CANCELLING YOUR RESERVATION:
Due to the strict regulations established by Machu Picchu Park, once you have made your booking the space and permit that has been purchased cannot be cancelled. It is also impossible to transfer the permit to someone else under a different name. The date of your permit can not be modified either. Therefore, if you are not able to arrive on the scheduled date, no refunds can be made for your Inca Trail permit.
Permits are not refundable and INKATREKS will purchase the permits as soon as confirmation of your booking has been sent.
Therefore:
a) If you cancel 30 or more days in advance, you will lose your first deposit but will have the right to whatever entrance tickets we have purchased for you.
b)If you cancel between 29 and 11 days before your trip, you must pay 50% of the total cost. You will have the right to whatever entrance tickets we have purchased for you, a guided tour of Machu Picchu on the day that it was scheduled in your original itinerary, and whatever other service we have purchased for you.
c)If you cancel between 10 and 4 days before your trip, you must pay 80% of the total cost. You will have the right to whatever entrance tickets we have purchased for you, a guided tour of Machu Picchu on the day that it was scheduled in your original itinerary, train ticket* and bus ticket.
d)If you cancel between 1 and 3 days before your trip, this is regarded as a “no show” and you must pay 100% of the total cost. You will have the right to whatever entrance tickets we have purchased for you, a guided tour of Machu Picchu on the day that it was scheduled in your original itinerary, train ticket and bus ticket.
2. If you decide to stop for personal reasons once the hike has started, you will automatically lose all the included services. Any costs incurred during your return, such as food, transportation, or lodging, will be your responsibility. However, you can rejoin the group at Machu Picchu for the visit, where you may use your entrance ticket, participate in the guided tour, take the return bus to Aguas Calientes an
Our adventure is when we leave the city of Cusco with northwest direction, moving on a tourist bus, we will go through the villages of Chincheros, Urubamba and Ollantaytambo from where we will take the road to Quillabamba passing through the open Malaga (4,315 masl) from where we will undertake our Tour, here we can appreciate the beautiful landscape of mountains, snowy, vegataciones, and start descending. We will pass and visit towns like Huayopata, Huyro and Santa María, where we will meet with the Vilcanota River, then take the Inca Trail to Santa Teresa where we will spend the night. Very early in the morning we head to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu «Wonder of the World», walking (3 hours) or by hydroelectric railway to Machu Picchu of the town, where we will board a bus that will take us to the citadel of Machu Picchu, then return In the afternoon to the town of Santa Teresa. We return to the city of Cusco by the same route of the first day.
